Frequently Asked Questions
Do I measure from the edge or the seam?
Measure the *finished* length of the placket (after hemming/facing). The calculator assumes the "Top Distance" is from the finished top edge to the *center* of the first button.
How do I use the "Button Size" option?
Entering the button size helps the visualizer draw accurate circles, so you can see if they look too big or small for the spacing. It does not change the center-to-center math.
